Drill is a labor of love. There are few monetary rewards in this sport. We compete because we love the challenge, the fun, and our horses. DRILL IS NOT CHEAP!!!
Drill is one of the fastest growing equestrian sports in the United States. No other equestrian sport can bring you closer to your horse or allow more close friendships to form than the team sport of Drill.
The Rhinestone-Cowgirls is a group of women who love horses and challenges. Founded in 2009 and based out of China Spring, TX our members range in different ages and different riding levels. We are not a breed specific team, so our horses vary from registered purebreds to “mutts”.
The Rhinestone-Cowgirls write and execute our own drills. We are also excited to ride in local parades and equestrian events.
Applicants are selected for our team based on their equitation skills, overall ability or potential ability to ride drill and willingness to commit to the team. This is a team sport with speed and precision. People can become seriously injured if not executed properly. Therefore, we also evaluate the skills and abilities of the applicant’s horse.
Our members will enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship of being part of a united team working towards a common goal. For us, that goal is to continually work to improve our horsemanship and team presentation.
We are also a new team and learning many things as we go, so saddle up and hang on for a new adventure and new friendships!
